Lazy Sunday? Fancy a lie in and a late brekkie? Nopes, let's make a brunch. We found that place for you!

Smacked in the centre of Radetskyplatz and in the heart of district 3, you can do all these and the portions are decent. We ordered up a small Menta Teller,scrambled eggs and toast and yes, as we said earlier, we are happy with the serving size. The taste was alright - as long as you weren't expecting Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen. Given that we fancied a lazy day and a place near-ish to us, this was a good choice regardless.

Scrambled eggs


The toast - a very generous serving size


 The Menta Tellercame with grilled aubergines and courgettes, hummus, olives, feta, tomato-onion salsa (or tabouleh) sort of thing and a portion of pumpkin seed bread. We really like this one and the small serving was generous enough. The toast came with ham topped with sunny-side up, served with ketchup on the side and this was a fail-proof item. However, the scrambled eggs was a different story. Its consistency felt more like a savoury egg pudding and weren't too impressed.

The staff were generally friendly and will leave you in peace - you could hang around for as long as you like and imprint your butt into the seats - or carve if you prefer. And they will still be smiling and won't show you the door.

So, all in all, this was a good chill out place to be lazy, grab a brunch, have your coffee and take it easy.

About Menta Cafe

Your naschmarkt cafe now available as your neighbourhood corner cafe. When we were there, there were only 4 staff - 2 in the kitchen and 2 in the front-of-house, and they did an excellent job because they were fully seated (ok, minus the outdoor seating because it was raining then).
