Sundays are synonymous with sleeping in and brunches – well at least for us.  So waking up to make brekkie is like meh, not gonna happen!! Unless Nicklas makes it! Thank you :)

But hey, as very resourceful people, we have solutions to every situation.  So we decided to check out a bakery-confectionery-bistro (oder, auf unsere minimalist Deustch, bäckerei-patisserie-bistro) called Joseph at Landstraße.

About Joseph Bäckerei Patisserie Bistro
All organic ingredients and they bake the bread on their own. And they were yummy – ok, we didn’t camp overnight to try out every single one of them. Although we’ve been here a few times and ordered various items from the menu.

This time, we had the muhammara, a burger and a club sandwich.  While we generally find that food tastes good here, the fries for some reason needs serious help.  They just look so browned, old, soggy and almost floppy.

  • Total overall rating: 2.8 / 5
  • Ambience : 2 / 5, Clean, airy but the acoustics is quite bad – do not come here if you spot a crying baby inside or if you suffer from a chronic hangover. Unless you fancy bionic hearing sensation...
  • Location : 3 / 5, Easy to be found and highly accessible via the U-bahn, but parking is a bi@%§&!
  • Food : 3 / 5, Was alright. Taste was good, muhammara was fine, burger was good but I am deeply disappointed by the fries.
  • Price : 3 / 5, Okay pricing for the sizing.
  • Service : 3 / 5

  • Total overall rating: 2.8 / 5
  • Ambience : 3 / 5, Make sure to get a seat outside on their terrace, which is really nice, as it's just way too loud inside.
  • Location : 4 / 5, Very easy to get to with the U-bahn.
  • Food : 4 / 5, The bread that they have is excellent!
  • Price : 3 / 5, Okay pricing for the sizing.
  • Service : 3 / 5, The service is fairly quick and nice, but they could do with some more training.
